Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 6, 2026
1. Our goal
We want everyone to be able to use The Cigar Library, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on this website and in the app.
2. What we do
- Automated tests: every change to the app is checked with automated accessibility tests (axe) on its pages, in both the light and the dark theme, against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules. A serious problem stops the change from going out.
- Keyboard: menus, dialogs and forms work with a keyboard, with a visible focus. Press ? in the app to see its keyboard shortcuts.
- Screen readers: buttons, links, form fields and images have labels a screen reader reads out, and pages are organized with headings.
- Color and contrast: text and controls are checked for contrast in both themes.
3. Known limits
- We haven't yet tested every screen with VoiceOver, the screen reader on iPhone, iPad and Mac. That testing is planned.
- We haven't yet tested every screen with the larger text sizes of Dynamic Type on iPhone and iPad. Some screens may not fit their text well at the largest sizes until we have.
- Automated tests find many problems, but not all of them. If something doesn't work for you, please tell us (section 4).
4. Report a problem
If something in the app or on this website is hard to use, write to support@thecigarlibrary.com or use the form on the Support page. Tell us which page it was, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you use. We read every report and reply to it.
5. This statement
We review this statement when the app changes in a way that affects it, and at least once a year.
